That is why we have our truffles analysed periodically by an accredited laboratory, in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA). The result of such an analysis is recorded in a certificate of analysis. And that is more than a formality.
What does such a certificate say?
The most recent certificate shows the results of a laboratory test on magic truffles of Psilocybe mexicana and Psilocybe tampanensis type. The samples were analysed for three main aspects:
1. Psychoactive content: the laboratory measures how much psilocybin and psilocin are present, the main active substances in magic truffles. These substances influence consciousness, mood and perception.
2. Contamination: testing for bacteria, fungi, yeast and heavy metals.
3. Overall product quality: pH and moisture levels are measured, as well as other quality characteristics such as colour, odour and texture.
Results that speak for themselves
The analysis shows that our truffles meet all safety requirements as set by the NVWA. The concentrations of psilocybin and psilocin are in line with what can be expected from freshly harvested truffles. No harmful bacteria or toxins were found, no pesticides, no heavy metals and no residues of chemical processing, because there simply aren't any. So our products are a lot more natural and cleaner than any fruit or vegetable you buy in the shop.
In fact, our truffles are delivered without any processing. Not dried, not ground, not extracted. Pure nature. As they come out of the ground, they go into the packaging. And that is exactly where the power lies.
